Man, out of the dozens of systems that I have enjoyed over the years, I'd rank the powerhouse PS2 right up there with my DSs, GBAs, and SNES...GREAT machine. We have close to 300 games at this point, and it still blows my mind that I'm able to get STELLAR titles for $5 and less....really a lovely system...
I was sure that I'd (naturally, duh) feel the same about the PS3, but with the endless stories of 'screens of death', and tales of malfunctions, I'm a little wary about the 3 just yet.....I'll wait until they are $20-$70....
(Besides, we keep 4-8 PS2s at all times....you know, in case the bombs drop tomorrow or the gene-fractured insectoids arrive...)

Random hook-ups. Mostly no. But I can and did get cords really cheap. Plus I just have extra cords lying around.

The PS2 is definitely a great console. It's also a PS1 which only adds to the awesomeness. One of my favourites as well. I don't have nearly that many games (maybe 30-40?) but I only really play RPGs on it. I have 3 or 4 PS2s and I'm always looking for cheap ones. All of mine are fats.

I've never had any trouble with my PS3s. Getting a BC model will always be costly I suspect. I have an old hacked one and a new Slim that I keep up-to-date firmware on.

Something tells me they thought all the consoles were broken.

I actually spent the day working on the A/C's that died over the weekend. I had to completely disassemble the first one to get to a leak on the back side of the compressor, and the second one needed to be completely replaced with a new unit.

The 3rd one is still waiting for tomorrow to get here

I was sifting through google and this is one that got mentioned a lot.

It's settled then, Terranigma it is.

I figured you've already heard the staples like... anything by Squaresoft. It's something that doesn't get a lot of hype since it got a PAL release, but not a US one. I haven't actually gotten around to playing through it myself, though.

And that's the only post I care enough to reply to since I'm not backreading the 20 pages between here and there.
