My new college has a policy where I need to work in the Theater department under some task for a show (this is for credit and EXP) so I can't get a part-time job with my free hours being consumed from that. And I keep trying to find work in the summer and no place I sent applications to has responded (nor even called to say "thank you for showing interest but we're not hiring at this time" even though they all are hiring).

The worst part is that it's not that I'm not qualified or that I can't work in the field (retail, for example). I worked at a college student academic computer lab for three years and they hired on a term-to-term basis with plenty of idiots and assholes coming in every day. I... just don't know what is the reason.
