    Default Monster World IV

    Hello,

I recently found out that Monster World IV was translated and released on the Virtual Console. I was wondering if someone was able to extract the rom file from the WAD for use on emulators? Has it already been done? I know there is a unofficial translation about, but it would be great to have the official one to play on my PSP!

    Thanks in advance.

You and I seem to be the only people who give a damn. This game deserves better than Virtual Console.

    Enjoy.

So, what are we supposed to do with this file? It does not work in either Gens or Kega and has a way different hex layout than other Sega BIN files.
At least it does say in the hex that it is a virtual console game.
One last thing: you must code your links with code tags.

@jwitz, for your information, the "unofficial hack" is excellent. I put it on official hardware and have it half completed as we speak. I will try the Virtual console version later on, but I can say for a fact that nearly all official translations are edited heavily and Americanized. Nothing is better than a direct translation.

Oh dear. Depositfiles butchered it! The file name is all messed up. You need to rename it to *.rar and then extract it (or just open it up with Winrar or something similar right away).

It works in both Kega and Gens. It's a regular ROM file and I even fixed the checksum (which was wrong originally).

I recommend this over the ROM hack, because it has a nicer script and beautiful fonts.

    Great game!
