Alot of our lecturers see the irony in the Irish educational system (you dont actually learn anything of use until you get a job) so they take the piss a bit. Another guy basically gives us the exam a few weeks before it, not the actual questions but what needs to be known for each question, in the correct order.

Hadn't heard that before. If I were to say one way or the other about my education, it would be that everything I have learned has been on my own. The school has simply guided me in the direction of IT...and charged me a load for the books. I think that I know more about electronic make-up than I know of IT and soldering is just my hobby! Its been fun though. One more semester.

It doesn't apply to everything I'm sure, but I know that I learned more during work experience last year than I did in the 4 years of the course. Like they taught us some java and visual basic, but I wouldn't dare put it on a CV. That basically sums up my college education.

I wonder what would happen if you tasered an active computer.

Depends on where you tasered. The overload would most likely just fry a couple chips though. If you place it right you might get a mild explosion.

Easy like I said. Won't know the exact number for several weeks though.

dunno, but if you put a capacitor into a wall socket it goes *petooooom! More like a hella-loud crack, but petoom is funnier.
    And will hurt you. :0

The type and strength of the taser would have an impact as well.

I mean a fully built, closed PC. No precision. Just shoot that bitch with a taser. A wire taser like the cops use.

Also, it's hard to write "taser" without subconsciously writing "taster" instead.

    Oh.

Well in that case, nothing will happen.

Most cases are surprisingly shock resistant.

Or at least well grounded. If you were able to generate enough energy back into the wall, your energy company would have no choice but to pay you. This is difficult to achieve even with your own solar panels, so don't go zapping your compy.

Since we're on the topic, I always liked these, the explosion causes a massive change in magnetic field and can blow circuits.

Mylo Xyloto is not a great album, much unlike the previous Coldplay releases.
