You'll spend more time waiting for your energy bar to recover than you will doing anything else. In one of the late missions I just decided it was time to stop caring about stealth take downs and time to start wasting suckers.

The energy shield recovers very quickly in Halo, did they change the way it works?

Not only doe it tke ages to refill, you actually have a health bar aside from the energy shield, which doesn't refill at all. And on legendary, It really doesn't matter anyway. If you get shot, you die.

Every time I play a game with regenerating health and the character isn't Wolverine it feels like a missed opportunity.

Because Halo 2 was such a failure on the PC.
