I don't expect anything that specific. It's not too much to ask for the series, when there are several and the characters are different, is it?

When it's a moderately ambiguous picture, it is too much to ask. Really, if they've even got the metaseries you should accept it. For example, if someone were to post this picture:



It would be absurd to not accept it simply because they said "Ah My Goddess, the TV series" rather than "Oh My Goddess, the 5 episode OVA." Sure, the animation style is clearly different, but it's the same series.

Or for another example, Luffy with the Please! Twins. It was a character that was in both series, was only a minor cameo in the second, and the only distinguishing factor was that it Prech instead of Pochy. It's like if Demondrago had required specifics for his Macross picture. Instead, he handled it well with this:

Correct Mistral, screens were from the in-universe movie The Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? It's an alternate retelling of the events of SDF Macross. I think the movie was showing around the time of Macross 7 within the Macross universe. It's pretty interesting but the only other example of that movie within a series thing that I can think of is at the beginning of the Gundam 00 movie.

being specific about the please series makes a little more sense solely based on what was in the image, like if someone took a picture from digimon the movie that had willis in it, i would want them to specify the movie since wilice is ONLY in the movie
