Default Starting Knights of Legend (Origin)

    Hello,

I need some help figuring out how to run http://www.emuparadise.me/Abandonwar...93829#Download in DOSbox

I can run KOL.exe but it is just an endless movie loop with the introduction. Does anyone know how to start this game and how to setup so that saving the game works in DOSbox?

    DOSBox 0.74

    Thank you very much.

First of all I would download a front-end for Dosbox to make it easier to install/play Dos games. I downloaded D-Fend Reloaded, it comes with DosBox 0.74 built-in. Download and install D-Fend Reloaded, once complete run it.

You'll be greeted with the main window.

    Spoiler warning:

Now extract Knights of Legend to it's own folder. Once done extracting drag and drop the Knights of Legend folder onto D-Fend's main window.

A window will then pop up looking like this.

    Spoiler warning:

Click the "Use Installation support" button. A CMD-style window will pop-up, press any key to continue. It will actually fail to automatically install. Now in the prompt type install.bat, now type Install A: C:

You will now be prompted with the Knights of Legend install screen. Press any key to continue and it will install. Once complete you will be at a prompt that reads, C:\KNIGHTS>. You can play straight away by typing KOL and pressing enter. I would recommend closing the window for now so we can finish adding KoL to D-Fend.

Once the window is closed another window will pop-up asking to verify/change the profile name and such. Just press the OK button, you can edit the profile later. Once you press OK KNIGHTS will be added to the profiles list. All you'll have to do to start it from now on is double-click the KNIGHTS profile and it will boot right up. Tested it out and it also saves to the Hard Disk just fine.

    Hope this helps.
