Oh, right, by the way (just checked Skype today), I tend to just hit "Switch user" on the desktop since I'm usually using it for something, so even though it may say I'm signed in on Skype, I might not be

And I should probably point out that I'm almost always signed in. But that's never a good indicator that I'm online/awake/anywhere near my computer.

Haha, thanks. I'm one of the lucky ones, really. Pretty much everyone I know has rallied behind me, and I've barely met any hostility. I don't know whether it's down to my city being quite open-minded, or simply because I was a complete girl to begin with anyway, and nothing really changed. But either way, it's been very encouraging.
