1. Look carefully at the amount of differences you've listed between a Mac and a PC in nothing more than a few paragraphs. Consider how many more there are.
2. Think back to how long it took you to become completely familiar with Windows and Linux.
3. Wonder why the hell you're criticising Macs for not immediately offering you that level of familiarity within a

I'm a PC user. And I have no desire to switch. I have no personal bias upon which to defend Macs. Still, you just can't expect, no matter how computer literate you are, to adjust to a completely different OS within thirty
minutes. That's like switching to the Dvorak keyboard and complaining because you can't immediately type with it at the same speed you can with QWERTY. I would think that that'd be...um...really,
really obvious?
Also...Microsoft Word? Not only is there a Mac version, but it's...uh...just another office suite.

Just use AppleWorks or, assuming it's available for the Mac, OpenOffice. They do all the same stuff.
