Default How do you use these things?

Hey guys, I'm at my unversity's library right now. Using Satan's own to post this. Thats right, I'm on a Mac.

How do you guys use these things? The mouse has no wheel and one key. This "Safari" program was hidden under a mound of trash that Apple put in here. You can't use Microsoft word, you have no left-click! I accidentally hit another program thinking it was the web-browser, called iWeb (WHY IS THERE A LOWERCASE "i" IN FRONT OF EVERYTHING?). It wasn't a web-browser, its a web-PUBLISHER. I can't get it to close. There's an error message, I hit "Close" and the iWeb is still there, covering my Word document.

Do we have any Mac users here? How do you do it? Are you like, less evolved? Or maybe you've taken a Oath to the Devil? I don't know, I've spent half-an-hour trying to learn me this thing, and I just can't do it. I guess when you've spent the last 10 years working under the blessing that is Linux and another 5 working with good 'ol Windows XP, your so superior to this crap that your brain refuses to work with it! My frontal lobe and hippocamus are in disagreement as to whether or not this event should be remembered!

Well, back to trying. I guess eventually I'll get my Word Document back. Until then, the staff here at the library will keep their hands on the "Call Security" button.

actually the mac has a version of microsoft word, the mighty mouse(as its called) is gay yes but a standard mouse will work fine and safari is a decent browser on the mac (not windows) i think you are just a dumb ass. as for closing applications click on file close to fully close the app.

You can buy Microsoft word and excel and everything else for it but it would be expensive it cost my dad over 150 euros.

I did eventually. Now I'm planning my most stupid and devious plan yet: killing everyone at Apple who put an "i" in front of some word. ITS FUCKING ANNOYING. What's the point?

Linux and Windows. Linux for all my non-gaming needs. I've heard there is a program now that can play Windows games on Linux. I haven't looked into it yet though.

    1. Look carefully at the amount of differences you've listed between a Mac and a PC in nothing more than a few paragraphs. Consider how many more there are.

    2. Think back to how long it took you to become completely familiar with Windows and Linux.

    3. Wonder why the hell you're criticising Macs for not immediately offering you that level of familiarity within a half hour.

Optional fourth step: Delete this thread, thereby saving yourself mockery.

I'm a PC user. And I have no desire to switch. I have no personal bias upon which to defend Macs. Still, you just can't expect, no matter how computer literate you are, to adjust to a completely different OS within thirty minutes. That's like switching to the Dvorak keyboard and complaining because you can't immediately type with it at the same speed you can with QWERTY. I would think that that'd be...um...really, really obvious?

Also...Microsoft Word? Not only is there a Mac version, but it's...uh...just another office suite. Just use AppleWorks or, assuming it's available for the Mac, OpenOffice. They do all the same stuff.

    microsoft word

    microsoft windows

    microsoft office

    iSTFU
    oh wait

Microsoft is the fucking brand, what are you expecting? It's not like Apple could put a trademark on the letter "i". They're just trying to be original by sticking an i infront of every shit product they sell/bundle/give/whatever and worst is that people are catching on! Besides, Mac users seems like elitists assholes most of the time somehow, as if because Apple made it, it's a better product.
Oh and what the fuck is up with the iLife suite? They're trying to re-invent living now? What kind of people would think they got enough power to challenge the man?
