Got the girlfriend painting boards for the skate/surf shop I manage. THe owner shapes our decks and then adds another layer of fiberglass, protecting any images. We don't use crappy grip tape, but instead coat the top in a fine layer of epoxy and throw beach sand on it. IT is much more coarse and lasts years longer than anything else. These are decks my gf finished recently.
