movies on playstion

is there any way to take an mpeg movie and turn it into what format playstation uses for movies? just thought i would ask this before i purchase a vcd plugin for my psone

Try making a search in Google or your prefered search engine for "MPEG to STR" or "MPEG2STR" and see what comes up. Should help you (STR being the video format used on Playstation games.).

i heard a rumor that sony is going to release more deivers for the PS2, one such driver might be on that enables you to watch
VCDs and Mp3s on the PS2. has anyone else heard that rumor?
does anyone know if its true?

I don't know if anyone else was interested in what i was looking for but if you were I found it and i will post a link to the program that will convert avi files to str. i have tryed using it and it does work but the only problem is that i don't have a burner to see if it would boot on my modded playstion... someone please try this and let me know if it works

Tovi knows all about PSX Vid Cd'z i still cant get it to work right tho. The country code gets all messed up and just has 2 x's on it on the Playstation logo screen.

Its an addon you must buy to get just plain vcd support. Its called "PS One D.I.Y. Movie Card II" only for the PSone and its about $45 us funds. This <a href="http://www.lik-sang.com/">place</a> stocks them but it's pricey on certain things i find so i'm just trying to find another site to compair to.

Did anyone try burning a str format movie on a cd and try playing it in there modded playstation?
