Loading From USB Trouble

Hello,

I am able to play NES/SNES games from my SD card in my wii without any problems but now with more roms on the card it is full and i would like to use my external hard drive to play these roms on my wii.

I have it formatted in FAT32 ( i have tried many others like NTFS and EX )but cant seem to get this to work i load my wii and load the nes emulator and pick a rom like i always do but this time i go into settings and change to where the games load from to USB rather then SD card but right after i do that i says it cannot find a USB drive?

I use FCE Ultra GX and Snes9x GX.

Any ideas?

Do i need to install Snes9x to the usb drive as well as the SD card? right now all i have on the usb drive is a few roms.

You need to format it as Fat32 with 32KB clusters, EaseUS Partition Master - Home Edition can do that it is free software

You also need to use the USB port closest to the edge of the console

Note that not all USB HDD's will work

this might be your problem usb devices compatibility list all tho this gives more info what programs to use to load and whats has been tested
