Commando MAME rom not working

I'm trying to play Capcom's Commando, and it's not working, I was wondering, what do I do?

gonna need more info than "it's not working". any error messages when you try to run the game like missing files? do you have the rom in question placed in the emulators rom folder and still zipped (you don't have to unzip MAME roms)? if you're trying to play a version other than Command [World], do you also have that version downloaded and placed into the rom folder?

and lastly...well, it does seem to be green (working) according to the list shown in MAME so i'm guessing one of the other 3 problems.
