Default New Here - PS4 Controller

Hey everyone glad to be part of the forum. I am trying to get my ps4 controller to work with FCEUX and PCSx2 but I'm having issues. Is it possible for this to work or am I trying to make something happen that cant? Are there any specific controllers that you all use to play games on here that work well? Thanks for the help don't beat me up too bad for asking a newb question.

Looks like a Dongle is needed to make the controller work wirelessly. Is there a way to make it work with just being connected through the USB port while playing a game?

Yes I use my DS3 connected via USB, I'm assuming its the same for a DS4, its really not that hard to set up.

You don't need a dongle for wired as for wireless I have no idea since I do not own one, not sure if anyone here will know but your best bet is to ask on the forum SCP comes from.
