    Take the controller apart and clean the PCB contacts with rubbing alcohol, and wash the rubber pieces in warm soapy water. Wait until dry, and reassemble...

    Try opening it up and just cleaning it. I've fixed many controllers that way. Usually it's something like soda pop getting in there and drying up. Use alcohol.

    I'm pretty sure all you need to do to repair a DC controller port is a fuse replacement...

    THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
    If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
