Ya need to know whats fixable with it and whats not otherwise you are going to have a bad time.

Wrong yet again. Your positive experiences simply can not outweigh almost everyone elses negative experiences . The amount of discs I've encountered with the marks of that beast that don't play is staggering. It's a disc murdering device just like many automated ones that have mechanical parts. There are very few machines I would run a disc through. Of course, not scratching your media in the first place helps.

You know what else is awesome? Actually buying media.

That is pretty cool though, I looked into it last night.

What I'm saying here is that if you really have to try to fix a disc it's worth doing your research on disc repairing machines. Odds are SOMEWHERE in your area has a good one and charges $2-3 a disc for repairs. There is one in my area that can even do Gamecube games which is a big issue for a lot of machines.

Found I had a couple bucks left in my psn wallet. Bought Sonic Adventure because I'm too lazy to round up my Dreamcast cables.
