So far Bethesda is dead to me and I have lost any respect I had for SE, who is finally caving in to the pressure and remaking that damn game.

Yeah! Woke up this morning to the gameplay footage so that was a nice surprise. Looks like they've taken a lot of cues from Brutal Doom too, which is encouraging. The one thing I really, really don't like though is the slower pace. Half the fun of Doom is how frantic it is. Hopefully they speed it up a little before release.

Even though the slower pace is there, the gameplay footage looks like everything I ever wanted out of a DOOM game. DOOM 3 never did it for me because they tried to make it too survival horror-esque. Healthbar, multiple weapons, and what looks like a shitload of enemies to mow down in every level is all you need. I'm hoping when it comes out it maintains the "here's some guns, now go and wreck shit" vibe that I felt in the gameplay footage.
