Favorite Game Developers

Alot of people are loyal to a game series or particular genre. But how often do you think about a game's developer. That is one of the main things I look at when buying a game. My favorite developer is Squaresoft followed by Capcom. Capcom has brought us classic series like Street Fighter and Megaman, and more recent break-through titles like Devil May Cry and the Resident Evil series. Who are your favorite developers?

Square, Capcom, Konami, and Sega.

Konami for the great DDR, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill series of games.

Sega for their always innovative and majorly fun lineup of pickup and play gaming, Sonic Adventure and Virtua Tennis amongst them.

square,sega,and capcom,i remember in my beginning gaming days my top threee fav games were Final Fantasy II(square,IV in japan), Final Fight 3(capcom), and Sonic The Hedgehog(sega) and i have just followed those companies.

ive always like Rare. they've made great games like Donkey Kong Country for snes, and Goldeneye for n64.

Konami for games like Mgs2 and Devil May Cry.

Capcom for the Megaman games and the Street Fighter games

I think the only reason I like Sega is because the Sonic Games.

Hmm... that's a toughy... well, here's my Top 5:

1: Nintendo - Mario and Zelda games.

2: Rare - Whatever game you buy, if it's by Rare you know it's good even before you've played it.

3: Lucasarts - The Monkey Island Trilogy, Jedi Knight and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds are some of my favourite all time games.

4: DMA Design - The company responsible for Lemmings and the infamous (but oh-so addictive) Grand Theft Auto.

5:ID Software - Quake, Doom and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are just some of this company's great success storys. They practically invented first person shooters.

Sega, particularily Sonic Team, AM Division, AM2, Amusement Vision, and STI. Sonic 2 is a classic, Sonic the Fighters rules, Virtua Fighter 2 is wonderful, and there are so many great games by Sega that if I were to list them all, I wouldn't be up from my computer for a long time.

Nintendo for the Kirby series and Star Fox.

Rare for Donkey Kong Country 1 and DKC 2. DKR and Banjo-Kazooie were great too.

SNK for their awesome, yet strangely underrated fighting games.

Capcom for pretty much the same reason as SNK.

Compile for the Puyo Puyo series.

Those are my favorite developers.

2. konami (castlevania series and some good others)
3. capcom (soccer shootout, street fighter, megaman, 19xx war against the destiny)

i think everyone has picked it but square is the best game developer hands down. if i had to pick one game developer and i could only play games from that developer it would be square. square made the 2 best games ive ever and will ever play. ff7 and bushido blade.

Devil May Cry is a Capcom game Gohan. I agree with everything everyone has said. I can't believe I forgot to mention Konami in my first post. I love Metal Gear. <IMG SRC="smilies/yelwacko.gif" border="0">

Hmm. Nintendo, Rare, and Capcom.

Nintendo, for all the great games they make, like Smash Bros., Zelda, and Mario.

Rare, for all the great games THEY make like Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad fur day.

Capcom, because they make all the best Fighting-games, and all the Megaman games.
