    Default Super Wild Card Issues

Ok I neeeeed help......I have the super wild card 32m, I recently dusted it off....I.split the game roms, but the trouble im having is the first split doesnt prompt for the other split??? I use to do this back in the day, im.using windows 8 and have no other computer... sooo...what do I do, and snestool wont open in windows 8 even when going through admin., but I managed to find another snes splitter.... all the swc wants to do is load 1st file only

so if i have superBLAH.1 superBLAH.2, it doesnt ask for #2... i have all these games already on foppies but over the years the floppies got real old and 99% of them dont work, so im just making new ones.. i know about emulators and stuff, i just wanna be old school for the memories and sentimental reason, im a collector... thanks for whoever saves the day

What is it? You should use Ucon 64. It's the most reliable conversion tool, and there should be versions that run fine on Windows 8.

Ucon, like the old "Ucon" from the 90's? Or Ucon 64? They're different programs. Although AFAIK both should work if ran through a command prompt:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/window...-windows-8.htm

Ucon 64 should have a host of different versions/frontends, and something should work on Windows 8. I'd skip the frontend headache and just use a command prompt to plug in some DOS commands though.

I know that snestl12 works under Windows 7 (except once I made it crash by hitting Q to quit). But you can't double-click it to launch it, use command prompts to launch it.

Edit: snestl12 isn't better than Ucon 64. Ucon 64 destroys every other copier app in existence. Even niche apps which do a single obtuse function Ucon 64 does better.

i went to start/ and typed it file name and says can not find file

yeah i tried it all, file opens runs through a bunch of shit real fast then window closes, typing it, double clicking it, going through admin by right clicking on it..same thing on windows 7 and 8

Question is can this even play split roms or is it limited to 32M and can not load more than that?

It's ok to long forget how dos works
Pop open your command prompt, it should say that you're currently sitting in some random directory(folder). You can jump out of directories by typing "cd.." (or into wherever by typing "cd foldername"). Type cd.. a few times to work your way down to C:, just cause it should be a bit of a tidier place to work. In Windows pick up your rom and snestl12 and dump them in C:. Then back in the command prompt write "snestl12". It'll pop up a simple interface (which is why I'm telling you to use it first), use your arrow keys to navigate and the Enter button selects things. When you've selected a option like Split the directional keys will navigate you through directories/files. The left/right buttons will move you in and out of directories, don't get confused if you pop into one accidentally, just push back left to get down to C:.

It's a SWC, it can handle most of the SNES games out there. There aren't many over 32Mbit. He's just having issues getting it to load multiple floppies.

oh nelly lol....yeah the only issue im having is getting snestl12 or ucon64 to open on windows 7/8...i used another splitter and its splits perfect until i load them on the SWC, then it just wants to read only 1 file and doesnt prompt for next files.its like all the splitter does is split it doesnt write in the file to look for the other files...very strange

What you need then is a 32bit version of ucon64

(MinGW) & (Visual C++) versions should both work (Try MinGW unless you already have C++ run times then go with the C++ version)

Although they say windows these are still command line tools so you need to either run them via cmd or via a simple front end like uf-FOX-1.1-win32

All this is on the official ucon64 site at http://ucon64.sourceforge.net/

Check the readme that came with it. I think the usage should be like "ucon64 -swc romname.sfc".
