    Default FF7 disc 2 on PSP freezes at cutscene where rocket hits meteor

    Hi, I'm having an issue with my ff7 psp game, disc 2. I downloaded it from this website and created the eboot file using IceTea1.3. I tried like 5 times and the game always freezes in disc 2 at the cutscene where the rocket hits meteor. The screen freezes but the music keeps playing.

    I tried changing the memory sticks. I formatted the new memory stick and pasted all the contents from the previous memory and the same thing happens. It still freezes. I formatted the memory stick using the psp.

    So it is not a problem with the memory stick. It is a problem with the file. So, how do you think I could fix this problem?? Maybe something about the compression level in the IceTea program??? Could that be the problem?? I don't think the problem is the original file I downloaded from this site because that would make other people have the same issue. So it should be a problem when uncompressing the ECM file and then creating the EBOOT from the BIN file in IceTea. What would you suggest that I try to fix this problem?? Is there another way to create the EBOOT so I try it??

    Thanks!!

    Thread moved.
    Use the PSOne classics version.
    I suggest you update to 6.60 PRO-C fix3 if you're not running it already.

    Are you using popsloader? Many games won't work right unless you use that to set which firmwares PS1 emulator is used. Digging through the entries for FF7 on this compatibility wiki I found this suggestion;

    "After many hours of perfect gameplay, it finally froze in Rocket Town while the FMV was playing. Also hangs on 4.01 & 3.90. FMV plays fine on 3.71, 3.72 & 3.80".
    I also saw quite a few entries saying to use PSX2PSP to convert your disc images, so that might help if the copy you already have still won't work.
    "I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

    I can give you the PSone Classics version if you are struggling with psx2psp and or downloading the jdownloader links thing that it is currently uploaded with

    I avoid the psx2psp converts when possible, though the converts I do make tend to work just fine, that and 6.00 or higher version of pops has more features that I like to use so I tend to try and target that or higher now if I have to use a psx2psp convertion
