    Default Non-Gaming Related Purchases

Bought a new car, more stuff for your DVD/Blu-ray collection or even a wedding dress?
Whatever it is, if it isn't gaming related you can post about it in here.

Didn't buy much today myself, just S9+10 DVD sets of Stargate SG-1, and got a small wet & dry 12v vac for my folks.

Recently bought Stargate Atlantis S1 Blu-ray.

    That's about it atm.

Kinda not gaming, but also kinda gaming. Figured I'd post it in this thread since it's shiny and new.

I've got an old multi a/v switch that I picked up for virtually nothing years ago, because the remote was missing (the screen and buttons on the unit work fine though).
Has component, composite, s-video, coaxial digital & optical digital audio, rca stereo audio, 10/100 lan.

If only huge HDMI switches were so cheap

I needed a new one because my old unit (not the same model or even brand) is on the fritz. Plus it has issues with some systems for w/e reason.

I dunno if there are better deals nowadays, I haven't looked around recently. But you can get those Chinese 5 port HDMI switches pretty cheap, like $10 a pop. And they can be daisy chained apparently, 6 of em would get you 25 ports

I've got a few of them around (not daisy chained) and haven't had any complaints.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Hmmm they do seem a little cheaper than last time I bother looking.

I recently bought a new Viking Valhalla pool cue to play in my local league. The shaft on the cue I used to use looks like it's doing a gangster lean.

Picked up a couple books cheap from a book fair. $1 each. John Sandford's "Prey," Tom Clancy's "Without Remorse," and I ordered "Mr. Kiss & Tell" by Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham from Amazon (it's the second Veronica Mars book based after the movie).

Beyond that... bought a new radiator for my car, I suppose. That wasn't cheap.

I've just spent far too much of my money on clothes, mainly T-shirts. But I was in need of some smart T-shirts for the summer. I also hadn't bought myself anything for what felt like forever, so yeah.

No Babylon 5 BDs either, apparently WB (or at least one person there) was talking about HD but they would have to spend heaps of $ on remaking most (if not all) of the cgi.
Maybe it's a similar story for SG-1 but I honestly have no idea about that.

    At least they're both widescreen.
