Default Odd file types from download

I downloaded these two games from Emuparadise, however once I extract them I get odd files. I'm not sure how to process these so that I can use them with MAME. What can I do to make these work with MAME?

They're actually supposed to stay zipped when you use them with MAME, so they're ready to be used straight from the site. All those files in the archive are the individual ROM dumps from the arcade PCB's ROM chips.

Just put your MAME ROMs into the roms folder in your MAME directory. Then start up MAME, it should auto detect them and it should display them in a list. Just pick what game you want to play, push enter, and away you go!

For a easier time with mame I suggest you try these builds,

    http://www.emucr.com/2015/03/mame-plus-v0159-r5221.html

    http://www.emucr.com/2015/03/mame-pl...0159-r244.html

They have GUI s and features not in vanilla MAME such as BIOs selection/Filters/save states/Overclocking and more.

If you are curious you might like to give this a try too,

    http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...Arcade-Rom-Set

FBA is very easy to use and can do all that I mentioned before for MAME but it only runs select arcade hardware, it is growing slowly though, I prefer it over MAME.

I highly recommend you give it a try.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
