Default How to write PC Engine Cd2 games to CD

Hi, can anybody please tell me how to copy rom files for PC Engine Super CD games to a CD?
I tried strider, when I unzipped it there were a couple of iso files a din file and about 15 ogg(?) files.
    Help would be appreciated.

please could you show a screen grab of the contents of the original archive

    but just for info sake

    din = no idea
ogg = sound files would need converting to wav to be burnable
iso = data tracks should be ok in there current format

P.S. what emulator are you even using?

Hi, not emulator - the real thing. A PC Engine and CD2 unit.
Do I still need cue sheets etc or can I burn a straightforward ISO?
    Thanks for helping.

You can't just burn a straightforward ISO. PCE CDs are a mix of audio and data tracks, cue sheets are a minimum. If the gap spacing or whatever isn't right the game won't even run. That "din" file you have (I'm not familiar with that format either) is probably for burning instructions, like a cue file.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Could the din be a bin file and he just mistyped?

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

You're using real hardware, not emulating on PC. So the thread needed to be moved.

    Spoiler warning:

Hi, I am new here and seem to be going around in circles?
My posting, this one, is apparently under 'emulation' and has been moved to 'Everything Console' - which I can't find.
But the heading showing which forum subject I am in tells me I am in 'Everything Console', doesn't it??

'HomeForumGaming & Emulation-Everything Console-Other systems - How to write PC Engine Cd2 games to CD'

    Thanks.

Here is an example of a game file I failed to copy, Stridder CD for PC Engine CD2.
When I target the cue file with IMGburner I get this message.....

'Connect filters (source, sample grabber failed)
Reason; No combination of intermediate files could be found to make the connection
Hint: you may need to install some more DirectShow filters in order to support files of this type or your file might be corrupt.'

    Screen grab of files attached.

    Many thanks.

Use the cue file to burn from

You may need to edit the cue file though, notepad can handle cue files they are just simple text files

You will also want to convert the ogg files back to wav format, oggdropxpd is the easy way to do that (google can find that easy enough)

The reason it says Everything Console is because I moved it there

Please note that ogg format is a lossy format so some quality is lost and converting back to wav format may put the original toc off
