MAGICAL BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH ATTACKS SHADOW *Must Read*
This is terrible!!!!!! I can't believe this has happened. Damn you Bill Gates and your stupid Win XP. This is how the story goes:
During a storm, the power to my computer was cut off. After turning the computer back on, I discovered a message that said windows was shut down due to improper shut down procedure.
Then it said I should start windows normally so I clicked the link.
JUST AS IT WAS ABOUT TO START BACK UP, THERE WAS THIS BLUE SCREEN THAT SAID "UNMONTABLE BOOT VOLUME" AND NO MATTER WHAT I DID, THE SCREEN WOULD NEVER GO AWAY. IT JUST KEPT POPPING UP, FORCING ME TO DO A COMPLETE SYSTEM RESTART.In other words, It was as if my computer was brand new, making me lose all 29 of my isos, 500 roms, 1200 music files, and all of my family guy eps.
Has this ever happened to any of you?

my sister's xp box had a different blue screen error, but it was fixed by using system restore.

Yes i had many encounters like this with XP.
Once,it was so messed up tht it wudn't let me press 2 buttons at the same time,if i did it wud restart itself:\
I changed over to ME(b4 i didnt have much stuff on XP yet ne way)
ME works fine, and so does 98,i think 98 is slightly better tho,and since u lost all ur stuff u may aswell put either of those on...
Damn XP

I tried but it didn't work. Nothing worked. It was evil shadow magic sent by the dark forces of hell to sabotage my computer.

Windows XP is fine if you take advantage of its extra features. Like ME it has the System Restore but XP is much more stable.
One thing you should keep off just in case of a lightning storm, which happens very often where I live, is the write caching in XP, because it could corrupt the disk during a bad shutdown (or so it says).
Im sorry for the loss though Shadow X ..

People just hate ME because it was supposed to be this stable Windows NT-based OS but it turned out to be a half assed Windows 98 upgrade (even by MS's standards).
