I'm looking for a flashcard specifically to emulate SNES, NES, GBC and GBA games.

Hello there. As the title implies, I'm currently looking for a new flashcard to emulate those consoles on my DS.

Although I must say some things I own both a Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS both have their last firmware (even though the DSi should be discontinued at this point so I don't remember the firmware) and my 3DS' firmware is currently version 9.5.0-22U so I'm sure that the amount of flashcards compatible with it is very low... that's why I still own my DSi; that way I can increase the availability for flashcards.

So yeah I've been looking around and apparently my best option should be the DSTwo as it has those emulators built in with extra power. But I wanted to know if there are better options for me.

Also a trusted link to actually buy one would be great aswell. I've found a couple of links but I'm too sceptical about it.

NES and GBC will work fine on any flash cart your DS can load, and I believe some can take advantage of the built-in GBA hardware (on the ones with a GBA slot). For the 3DS though, getting Snes or GBA working at all is gonna take the Supercard DSTWO.

Not strictly true there are GBA & SNES emulators that work on any DS flash kit, they are not that bad either even the SuperCard DSTWO exclusive SNES and GBA emulators are not perfect

But I would hang fire on buying anything until later this month the DSTWO+ should get released proving there are no issues during production and grab one of those that not only plays DS games but also 3DS games (Hold back on updating the 3DS any further though)

Most the lower systems can be emulated with any DS flash kit GBC, SMS, GameGear, Genesis and a number of others including other things like ports and SCUMMVM will work just fine with any DS flash kit

Note that because a lot of these emulators are for DS hardware (i.e. not all that powerfull) there are some compat issues so some games may have issues, the Supercard DSTWO takes advantage of it's extra ram for some of the specially designed emulators such as SNES and GBA but as stated before those are not perfect either, don't get me wrong they do work very well but only to a certain point

Also worth noting is the res of the screens is low for SNES and Genesis games so they will either be squashed, scroll or just go off screen depending on how you set it up, I'm sure that SMS and NES have the same issue also from what I remember, if only for the hight
