Unhappy Help! Problem with Legend of Mana (PSX)

So, I am using an emulator for Legend of Mana (ePSXe Latest Version), and whenever I go to save, the game locks up and stays on the "Searching for Memory Card" Screen. I know I have MemCard files because I can load the games, but it locks when I go to save. Is anybody having problems like this also, and is there a fix?

    Thanks!

Try an older version. Could be something wrong with the latest release.

I've had this same issue, off and on, with several versions of ePSXe. I never did figure out what exactly causes the issue, but in the meantime save states should work fine, assuming you don't want to do anything else memcard related (the FF8 easter egg, battling friends' characters, etc).

You could even try another emulator; pcsx-r is a pretty good one and (I believe) uses the same plugins that ePSXe does.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

For a simple experience you can try Retroarch which uses Mednafin as its core for PSX,

Tell me if you are interested and il post the PSX bios all ready for use in retroarch.

Thanks! I will try Retroarch, see if it works better. I hope it does, because this is like one of my fav ps1 games! So, if you could link the bios that would be very appreciated!

Most emulators are easy as pie but some require a little bit more tinkering,

If you got another question I might be able to help, need to tinker with Retroarch some more but currently busy with other projects.
All it takes is tinkering on your own to learn, that and a little help from a search engine

I can't use RetroArch, I just can't figure it out, so I think I am going to try an older version of ePSXe, because that is the only PSX emulator I know how to use, but thanks anyways!

    oh try this,

    pSX_1_13.rar

That is as easy as its gonna get, the emu is long since dead since the author was a real chode and never released the source.

If my memory serves me it runs Legend of Mana just fine, used to own it myself back in the day, real nice action rpg.

Set your monitors resolution in the settings and keep aspect ratio I think.
