Nintendo DSi Augmented Reality on 3DS?

hi. i'm kind of skeptical about Nintendo DSi's Augmented Reality. see the dating sim Love Plus + lets you select this option but only if you have say a 2nd DSi or something like that? i'm kinda skepticle as to how the 3DS handles something like that. does anyone have any info on it or maybe some tips as to how this may work?

3DS just uses the rear dual camera's/play a game or activity via the screens
Vita uses a single rear camera and play a game or activity on the screen

Both the above come with AR cards or you can print them off, the DSi as far as I know does not have those though

Not even sure what you asking though, in what way do you think AR works

I would guess that it uses the camera to take a picture of you and the 2nd DSi takes a picture of someone else and you virtually date with images of your faces, sounds kinda creepy to me lol

The DSi software would also control how the faces react look sad happy ect
