Exclamation Final Fantasy 7 (disc 1) iso glitches. Player position is offset from map Help?

    Hi,

I have been playing through FF7 Disc 1 and I have been getting some nasty glitches that I have no clue how to fix or how to work around. Pretty much the map is not matching up with where I actually am.

For example, if a door is where it appears on the game, like a door to a building is right where it should be..on the building. For some reason, I can do go where the door is on the map, i'll have to offset it and walk somewhere along the pathway and i'll somehow open the door as if the map is offset to where the player is.

I would have to offset the player direction to do everything. To walk through a hall way in the middle of the screen, i'd have to walk to the left of it, into a walk and phase through the wall in order to walk through the hallway. I hope that makes sense. If needed, I will take a screenshot of it in another reply to this topic.

Can anybody give me a solution to how to play the game normally without having to offset myself like this? It is killing me!

    thanks in advance!

    Issue #1

    Wrong section

    Issue #2

You provided no details on how you are playing the game and info on the dump.

Kinda hard to help if you provide no information regarding the issue.

Sorry! I was not sure which area to post at lol new to the forums, which you probably assumed I am playing on a Mac laptop running OSX 10.9. I am using PCSXR and running the ISO files I got from emuparadise.

I can not play the game easily because the map, at this current point, is offset from where the player position actually is. If the on screen map shows a pathway, i'll have to offset the direction I go to be able to go through said pathway. I don't know how this happens or what to do. Maybe it's just at this point in the game but would you know any way to resolve the issue?

It did not do this at earlier points but there were some other glitches before this that most likely lead up to this.

I can also post a few screenshots of the issue if that helps!

    Well..............using a mac eh................oh boy............

    OK give this a try,

    http://openemu.org/

I use windows but I have a friend who uses a mac and that is what he uses for his emulation needs, no idea on the quality but I assume its way better than pcsxr.

Cool, I'll give it a try. Does OpenEmu run iso files and run the same way as PCSXR? It appears to be a lot sleeker looking compared to PCSXR too.

I also got the experimental edition that apparently isn't stable as the other latest version but runs PSP, PS1 games and a bunch of other retro systems. Do you have any insight on that?

Sorry but I have no information other than to my understanding is the best method for most emulation needs on a mac.

Maybe some other mac users can help ya out.
