    Default Help with PS2 Emulator

Hi, I'm new here so I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place or something. I looked around and couldn't find anything posted about this.

I'm trying to use PCSX2 on windows 7, I have it installed, have the bios and everything, and it all goes great until I actually try to play a game. It just goes thru the little Playstation intro, then goes to a screen that says "dvd player is not set up". I have looked all over google but can't find an answer to it.

I have tried just loading the iso, also tried burning it to a disc, but no matter what, I just get that dvd player not set up screen.

I don't think it's a problem with my computer because I run N64, Ps1, & Gamecube emulators all the time, and my computer does perfectly fine with them.

The game I'm trying to play is Call of Duty....could it just be a problem with the game?

These are what the plugin settings are, do i need to change something here?

Here is my computer info if that helps any...

PLEASE HELP! I have been searching everywhere and can't find any answers, although I see plenty of people encountering the problem. I'm not too smart about comp stuff so maybe it's just something simple and I'm too stupid to see it? Lol. Idk. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

I had problems with PCSX2 until I used "Run as Administrator". Also try configuring your CDVD plugin.

Are you trying (full) or (fast) boot?

And ask Google about "PCSX2 Compatibility Call of Duty" to see if the game runs well.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I will try running as Administrator & google it, and maybe download another iso and see if it works. I have really slow internet so i don't want to waste the time unless I know it will work, you know? lol.

I have tried both full & fast, and I think i configured the plugin right. I selected the iso, and pushed compress and start, is that right?
I'm pretty new to all this so I don't really know what I'm doing when I'm messing with the settings, lol.

    Thanks for your advice

Also, I guess this should be in the "Everything Emulation" category. Is there a moderator that can move it? I'm new here so I don't really know how everything works >.<

You can check the disc image via the details at www.redump.org using some sort of crc checking software or if you still have the archive the iso was stored in just open it with 7-zip it will have the crc info listed there anyway

http://redump.org/disc/12011/ <- redumps page for Call of Duty
http://pcsx2.net/compatibility-list.html <- Official compat list, also has clickable notes that take you to the forum
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Call-...20725-U--28723 <- direct notes in the official forum for the game you want to run

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR
