Finally caught up (kinda) with my coursera courses now I have around 2 days to set my PC up and running and then decorate the place. (I've been living with boxes full of my stuff around for around 2 weeks now lol)

Also got myself another 2TB HDD (I just can't get enough) and a 40GB SSD for my "work" partition. (That's the windows partition with all the programming stuff on) So hopefully my PC will speed up "dramatically".

Also got myself a raspberry pi, so excited to see what stuff I can do with it, but the reason I got it was to make myself an NAS for cheap so I'll first see how that goes.

The pi's are a little too powerful for their own good IMO. I have one but programming for the bare hardware is a bitch and programming for the Linux she'll is ... Just programming for Linux.

yeah I think that was their original intention, to sorta provide a very cheap "programming platform" for people who couldn't afford full blown computers.... At least I remember reading something like that somewhere.

I guess compared to arduino, this is sort of a jack of all trades sort of thing. You can program hardware with it (EDIT: I meant using the IO pins), but if you decide to take it and use it as a regular computer (the way I'm hoping to use it as an NAS) you can. Arduino on the other hand is cheaper, so if you're going to design more than one of whatever you're making, or in whatever other way you plan to make a business out of it, arduino would perhaps be better...

Yeah, you're not really missing anything. It's not an awful game or anything, but it doesn't do anything that you haven't already seen in several other games. I've got about 5 hours in it and I really don't even feel like going back to it

All I can really say is that it's Borderlands with the precision shooting of Halo. We all know BL is a pretty shoddy shooter when it comes down to it, so having that style of game with real shooting mechanics is nice.... at least for a bit
