Save state ePSXe crashed!

Hi!

I play Breath of Fire IV on my ePSXe.
Then I save my progress at Save state slot 1.
I close my ePSXe, make my laptop sleep.
Then, when I'm open it again(Load state > slot 1)
It says, "ePSXe stopped working" and have two choice between "Close the program" or "Search the web for *blablabla*"

Please help.

Restart your computer and try loading it again. If that doesn't work I would guess that you maybe saved on a loading screen or something similar; that can cause funky issues with save states. In the future I would recommend always using both hard saves (at save points) and save states, just in case the save states crap out.

Using save states alone is the worst idea in most emulators just because if the game crashes at a later stage you can't change setting to fix any issues as save states also save emulator settings and as you have just found out they can become corrupt easy, even if you only save state at static screens like menu's or pause screens

There is no come back from a corrupt save state though, you either need to load an older save state or a memory card save or re-start the game if you don't have either of those
