Emulation and my CPU

Hi people I now get a new CPU Intel Xeon E5450 4 Cores 3.00GHZ
And I think that help me with bad FPS with Software Mode in PCSX2 or Project64 in Software Mode or with HQ3X filter with GPUBladeSoft 1.42a plugin in PCSX-R
And yeah it helps but only little bit still is lagging and I don´t know why ? Is it a powerful CPU or no ?
Which CPU I need or what I need to set up ? I want for example play N64 emulator in Software Mode but is so lagging not like before on my old CPU but still

It's not just a powerful CPU that makes it easier to play games on emulators that require a high demand, graphics cards and VRAM are also important in playing games. Since you already got a nice processor, I'd suggest investing in a graphics card that your motherboard can support.
