Whoa, I just had a look at listings on eBay. When did that game shoot up in price?

It pisses me off when old games get more expensive instead of cheaper.

Fairly recently I think. Last time I sold a copy it only went for $20.50.

I’m fine with it as long as they're games I already own.

Looks like it's still pretty cheap on 360 for some reason. I picked that one up for like £5 a couple of years back but I remember the PS3 version being around the same price. Crazy.

In the US in most instances the PS3 version tends to be more valuable than the 360 version of cross plat games. Usually it's a negligible difference. With Nier I suspect it's because Drakengard 1-2 are on PS2 and Drakengard 3 is on PS3. Console continuity for the series.

Usually the biggest differences with cross plat games is between Gamecube and PS2/Xbox. Gamecube versions are always worth more.

It's the same here pretty much. Used PS3 games are a bit more expensive than their 360 equivalents but it's not usually as drastic as in this case.

And yeah, anything Nintendo has demanded a premium here since forever, basically. NES, SNES and N64 have shot up dramatically even just over the last 12 months but the Gamecube is a weird one. Compared to PS2 and Xbox the games are pricey but they haven't really increased much for a long time. I sold some of mine well over two years ago now and they're still hovering at around the same prices. I don't know if the nostalgia for that gen hasn't kicked in yet or what but it's weird. Probably a good time to stock up on all that stuff though.
