She is very hard to master, and yes a well placed/timed shockwave can turn fights around. She is major safe pick, can farm easily, decent roamer, good waveclear, amazing teamfight.

Just start Dota before you get too into League. You won't feel like you are wasting time by unlocking someone you end up disliking.

After playing League, playing Dota is weird (I'm not saying bad), just a lot of stuff that is annoying to me.

Yeah league took out a shit load of things to make it more casual so that it's easier for people to approach. Then they found a good way to make it P2W where people wouldn't bitch about it all that much.

Ah I haven't played that, but you get to play the shit out of champs if they are on rotation so I dont' really mind. I know for sure that I love Nami so I'm going to get her next. I wanted a more powerful role though, I was getting reallly sick of just being a support.

She's amazing at farming. Yeah I'm trying to break her in. She can do some pretty good damage. I'm still pretty new and I don't know how to handle two champs on me at the same, regardless of their level. Plus my computer just gets horrible lag when there are 2 or 3 champs clustered together fighting /:

I like league, it's a bit tough to learn but you always get better just by playing.
