Decided not to sleep. I decided I'd try to use that Windows 7 file my buddy sent me to try and fix my laptop, well, he gave me a new software, burned it to the disc. Worked like a charm. Now drivers are missing for some reason when I try and install Windows 7.

Roxas, you know you can legally DL Windows 7 from microsoft, you just need your key to activate it and its real simple to get your key if your key sticker is damaged, http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

yes I am against it but the file transferring is top notch, I mainly stick with pidgin using the XMPP protocol with Off The Record messaging plugin to encrypt messages .

Download the iso from microsoft, it should automatically DL the missing drivers if im not mistaken, best to get and save the drivers before attempting a reinstall.

Also this is what my laptop says:

"A Requred CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, insert it now. Note: If the Windows Installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step."
