Put 100+ hours into it between me and my roomy, got every secret ship. Except for that damn crystal ship. That thing is a bitch to get. That was on the original version. I still haven't unlocked all of the additional layouts they added in "advanced".

It's a bitch. Played it all afternoon yesterday. It's really dependent on what random scenarios pop up. Think I have 6 ships with 3 or 4 variants so far. The Advanced Edition almost adds too much It's hard to get what you need to finish off the last ship sometimes. Currently trying to beat it with the Zoltan ship.

It's definitely an awesome game. There's also a decent modding community for it as well. Some cool mods like new weapons/modules and extended exploration mode.
