Lol, it's Gyspy, 70% of what he says is trolling.
But what you said was exactly what I meant about the hardcore gamer.

One thing that is clear about Nintendo as a company, is that there is a disconnect with the gaming consumers. And I think the Wii-U represents their disconnect with consumers. They do better with hand held systems because its a less competitive area. IMO they should just stick with hand held systems and avoid making any new home consoles. If Nintendo was to focus its efforts on hand held systems exclusively, then I'm not sure Sony could compete, and they'd likely quit making hand held systems.

The disconnect that Nintendo has is that kids no longer want to play games designed for kids. Just about any 10 y/o boy I know would rather play COD than a Mario game. If they can't even sell games to a 10 year old then what age group are they aiming at? 6-8 year olds? Most parents are afraid kids that young will break the system, or drop the expensive pad and crack it, etc.

No, the N64 and GameCube fell before, but they still made them, probably because the Game Boy/Color/Advance sold well, and if the 3DS beats the PS Vita, they mas still make a successor to the Wii U. Oh, and their much more darker and mature games like Zelda (still kid friendly but more mature than Mario/Kirby) will make it go above the ranks.

I thought that Nintendo rocked the GameCube. I loved it. GameCube had amazing games I played 24/7 (To list a few: Metroid Prime, Harvest Moon, Pokemon Colosseum, Super Smash Brothers Melee) And that is the only reason why I bought the Wii. But now they arn't producing the controllers for the GC... I don't like the point controllers now because they just suck. I much rather a good ol' joypad controller.

Do I think Nintendo is poofing out? Yes.

Will they make a come-back? I think so if they drop the Wii crap.
