So in Ireland at the moment (dunno about the rest of the world) there is this trend now to take pictures of yourself (if you're female) without make up on and this cures cancer. Now I understand that people see it and they think you're brave and donate towards breast cancer research. My issue is that when I pointed out not 6 months ago that it was found that none of this money is actually used for research, that the responses I get are about me hating women and I'm ruining the fun.

So here's my official response.

Anyway though, like you I would just not care too much about it, if people want to take selfies and say something about breast cancer research then go ahead. It's sort of like people raising money to go do charity work in other countries when they could just give the same amount of money to adequately qualified people in those other countries to give them more stuff to actually help them rather than go on a holiday and claim it's for charity work. That's my daily dose of cynicism out now.

I would also like to bitch about the way that donating for cancer research has become the get out of guilt free card. Go to Taco Bell? Donate to cancer. Go to walmart? Donate to cancer. Go anywhere?
