    Default Final Fantasy VIII problem

    Hi everyone,
Hope I'm posting this in the right section!

Well I've been playing FF8 (downloaded it here) with pSXfin and everything was working fine until the Lunar Cry FMV on disc 3. Basically after the movie there's no sound and the controls don't work; I can't do anything.

I found a pSX compatibility list on this site and it says on it about ff8 : Disc 3: To get past "Lunar Cry" FMV glitch, try using -ci option

So yeah, I was just wondering what this -ci option is.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to these things, so please bear with me :p

Oh and I tried to run FF8 with ePSXe 1.6 but everything was running extremely fast and I couldn't do anything...

    Default

That is a commandline switch. To learn how to use it, have a look at the pSX FAQ:
    http://psxemulator.proboards.com/ind...ay&thread=1057

As for your ePSXe issue, limit the FPS and set the FPS to 60 in your video plugin config window.

I just downloaded Frontend and it worked! Thanks.

Should I always use the -ci switch from now on, or can I go back to running pSX normally once I save my game?

Once you've saved your game, stop using it and see how it goes. Don't use it either for any other game unless the compat list states it.

Either way, do not revive an old thread. You can create your own thread if the problem persist.
