Is it possible to migrate win7 to a new hard drive. Say if you um lost the disc

I wanna get a bigger HDD but it's a laptop so I'm thinking of getting an enclosure and a new drive migrate everything over and the put that new drive in and take the old one out and use it in said enclosure as a backup I guess.

The only thing I could possibly suggest is cloning your HD. Its a method I've never tried before so I couldn't tell you the ins and outs of it. There is free and commerical software to do it.

Oh ok I'll look into that. Not something that's going to happen soon so I have time
