I'm confused HELP

I don't understand what trading and ftp and stuff are can someone explain?

I don't understand how ftp's work and how do people trade?

You download files off the persons computer. I believe by trading, you must upload to download. That is, you must give something to the person to download what you want

How do you I get to someone elses FTP?

You access it with a program and login. I have no idea how to do that though.
