if you are into gaming stuff, put on win98se. and complete installation is 120 mb, so the download is good. btw, you are gonna try running ut2003 on athlon 750 with 64mb of ram? suicidal idea...

I envy you, I can only dream that they will release the UT2k3 demo soon. They keep delaying it, and setting new releasedates for the final product. They say they'll give it once they are ready. Grrr... I just want to play the game... Especially after they hyped it up so much...

Has anyone tried XP Home? I have used XP Pro and it isn't bad but I just do not like the interface. It is too much. I like it simple. XP is also less hacker, emu gamer, ripper friendly. Microsoft is trying to take everything from us! I would go with Win98 SE. I really need to get that myself. Or maybe Win2000.

Well i have 98se on my computer, but on my laptop i had XP home already installed on when i brought it,after about a month XP was f***ing up,it was weird thing like if i pressed 2 keys at the same time it would restart itself.
So i had 98se put on my laptop, works good no probs ,but i now have ME on and i find it is better,it seems to be slightly faster but i dont really care,i cant be bothored to change back anyway so i'll leave it.

Well to round it up XP sucked.....for me anyways.

It was probably because your CPU was too slow to handle it. Really, only laptops released in the last several months are powerful enough to run XP at full speed with no problems.

I like WinME. It has grown on me. The only problem is it sucks with emulation. I have difficulty playing SNES with it sometimes and N64 is out of the question. It runs PSX ISOs alright but that is only on VGS. I could not get ePSXe to load up.

I now have ME and i can run epsxe fine and play games flawlessly with it,i noticed sometimes when i play snes games it tend to do tiny jumps now and then(u can tell mostly by the sound but can see it in then movement too),but other than that it's fine, and tht jump doesn't happen too often.

I had Win 95, and it sucks really really really badly.

I have Win 98SE, and its ok, but crashes alot.

I have Win ME, and its slow, and crashes alot.

I have XP Home Edition, and its best OS I have ever used. (I never tried XP Pro)

i've heard that win2k is buggy as hell. has a lotta holes.

i've also havent heard anything good about xp.. though XP PRo has apparently proven to be better. it's funny how every one has his or her own different experiences with the same software.
    ..

i guess it simply comes down to compatability and security. Cuz stability is very much related to what u run on it and what u install on it...

but thanx for the input peeps... the ut offer is still up .. peeps could pm me and we can update the progress here using codename, asscrack.

project asscrack is looking for volunteers.. if not . then the crack will close. mwhahaaahaha
