pcsx 2 0.9.8 is running slow

Hello, my emulator is running okay at first (50~60 fps). But when it runs the game, it lags (with the occasional freezing).

specs:

Processor: AMD A4-3400 APU with Radeon HD Graphics
2.70 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
System type: 64-bit OS (Windows 7)

You should really mention what game(s) in particular you're having issues with.
Some games are more demanding than others, and some games have compatibility issues regardless of hardware.

Edit: and game regions too.

^ In addition to what deadlegion has said, make sure to post your PCSX2's emulogs as well. It is another windows that load when you run PCSX2.

There maybe few tweaks you can do, but don't gets your hopes high though.

Try using the latest version of PCSX2 as well.

pcsx2 does not run on a Sony Console so will move this to Everything Emuation>Sony (Everything Console is for real console owners, mostly modded consoles software or hardware modded but not exclusive to)

If you have a PS2 though you can mod the thing with software to be able to run patched DVD's directly as if they are original discs

1.0.0 PCSX is the most current version unless there is issues with your game on 1.0 you should use it instead huge speed boost also your hardware ins't the most spectacular on specs so that will have some impact
