Can't Get Past Start Menu [PCSX2]

Hey guys
I have a problem
i can't get past the start menu in some games
i can play crash bandicoot the wrath of cortex and timesplitters future perfect fine
except when i go to load black or burnout 3 i cant get past the start menu
i press all the buttons on my keyboard and nothing
i am using pcsx2 1.0.0 and photo is of plugins

Please Help!

What happen after the start menu? black screen? freeze?

Can you post your emulation logs?

How do i do that?

I get to the start menu and it just stays there no freeze or black screen just what would happen if you left the game and didn't do anything

When you run the emulator, there should be another window besides PCSX2 called 'PCSX2 Program Log'.

Now, run the game(Black or Burnout 3), wait until you got black screen, then copy all info from the log and paste it here (use the Quote tags).

Oh, and your controller plugin/configuration as well. Screenshot if possible.

From what I can remember Black is a pain to emulate. I'm not even sure if it will work at full speed and without any glitches

Black is on Page 3

Burnout 3 on Page 6

check the notes left there.

I would say that your CPU is just far too slow for Black to run smoothly, possibly the same with Burnout 3 as well

You might want to set start to a key, most games use start on the start menu

There does not seem to be any errors in your log, so the above may fix that in general also some games do require analog sticks, L3, R3 and the rest of the keys

LX LY & RX RY are the analog sticks, no idea how you would config those to keys though, that in itself is not a good idea as they are analog not digital, i.e. analog has several grades of left or right/up & down, digital is just left, right or nothing (up down or nothing), so no in-between grades of left or right (up or down).

^yes, it seems you haven't configure your buttons yet, though I'm not sure how you managed to play other games with only few buttons configured.

If the current pad plugin still not working(which should be, its the simple Pad plugin around), then try using the LilyPad plugins on Plugins/Bios selector from Config window.

Thanks guys all i had to do was config that plugin to my keyboard
but how would i use a ps3 remote for the emulator?

Why you would even consider the PS3 remote as a controller is beyond me

I think the PS3 remote is great but only for looking through the PS store, looking through options and playing video, asides from that I wouldn't use it for playing games

Personally I've used motion joy and it works but its a little buggy and may crash or something once in awhile but it's not bad

Motion joy is in there as well I left that bit as it is nice to have more than one option

Not used either though, I use PS2 pads via a cheap PS2 to PS3/USB converter not special drivers required, unless you want rumble that there is a universal driver for
