I appreciate it, Zorlon. According to my order, the SD cards should arrive by October 31st (I ordered them in bulk from an international seller).

@b2p I'm real excited about ripping Sturmwind. I would imagine the Dreamshell will do the job (I haven't encountered a DC game that hasn't worked), but we'll find out as soon as my SD card order arrives next week.

Yes, I have tried using Disc Juggler with every option imaginable, but the copy protection cannot be duplicated (and even replacing it with dummy files does nothing).

Edit: The devs used some kind of substandard copy protection. I have tools that can identify all types of copy protection, and even the latest revision of my software can't identify the protection on the Sturmwind disc. When you try to copy Sturmwind with Disc Juggler, Acid, etc. - the copy protection causes all kinds of strange ATAPI read errors on track 25 (which is where the game data and protection reside).

Just to verify that my drive wasn't going bad, I decided to run some tests by duplicating a few games from my DC library, and they copied fine. Basically, Sturmwind's protection is a substandard beast that can't be broken or duplicated by standard means (i.e. using Discjuggler, for example).

Update 11-11-2013 - I am halfway finished with ripping the data track. It's taking longer than expected, but so far, so good!

Update 11-11-2013 - I am halfway finished with ripping the data track. It's taking longer than expected, but so far, so good!

The hard part is building a disc image.

first job would be to make a none booting CD image, aka needs to use Utopia to boot with.
then make a self boot version aka Mil-CD.

Neither of those is that easy to do specially if there is further copy protection in the disc i.e. in the actual files that make the game up.

It's easy enough to do these things when there is nothing to stop you (and you know what you are doing), but the guy that made this done a great job of protecting his creation

There is only a demo of this game currently released as a CD image, otherwise the only way to get this game is to buy it.

€34.95 though I think that is a bit much to ask for it.

€69.95 for the LE version that does come with nice extra's but again not really worth that much (OUT OF STOCK anyway)

If they halved the price then I think it would be a price that more would be willing to pay for a retro style game on a retro console

This is not to say the game is not great though
