Exclamation Help with Getting FF VII to play on Mac OS X with PCSXR

I downloaded PCSXR emulator for my I-Mac with Mountain Lion a few weeks ago. Can play games like Crash Bandicoot and others without any problems.
Now want to try games like Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX. When I try to load the ROM, the following message comes up : Could not check CD-ROM.
I have tried switching the different settings, but can't get anything to work. Help!

They're most likely still compressed. What's the file extensions? I'm guessing they're .ecm. No idea for a Mac but use unecm or better yet pakkiso.

    Just scroll down mid way.

file is .iso. I'm thinking it has to do with the animation movies in the file. Tried the program, but won't work on the MAC OS X

The movies shouldn't have anything to do with it. I'm having trouble understanding what's going on though as I've never used that particular emulator. Can you post more information or even some screenshots?

If you're loading it as a file I don't know why any CD-rom errors would come up.
