    Default Android PS1 Emulation

    Hi everyone,

I understand that I may be in the wrong section here, but I was unable to find a section for emulators for android phones.

I am going to try and emulate PS1 games on my my swanky new phone, but then I come across something I do not know much about.

    Memory card speed.

As I plan to whack the app and roms on the memory card, I figured memory card read speed may be very important.

So has anyone had any experience with this that can advise me on what a good read speed will be to run the games from the memory card?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm just breaking into it myself and found (I assume you mean sd card classifications) that a class 6 is working beautifully so far. And it's a cheap brand card too so it may not be as good as some others. It's in all around good class of card - it's speedy for games and taking decent video and doesn't have some of the compatibility issues that class 10's have with lower end android phones (like mine) and of course it's cheaper

Class 10 is very cool but only if the hardware supports it

I would of thought that most phones do specially new phones in the last 3 years

Check the documentation or online docs to see what the specifications for memcards is if you can use Class 10 then go for it you can get up to 32GB micro SD's now maybe bigger, last time I looked 32GB was the biggest but heard rumors of newer ones as well on the way

    Thanks for the advice.

I certainly shall check what class speed my phone will take and handle.

If class 6 works perfectly fine, then I should be fine with a decent speed 32 GB.

I was unsure how smooth the games run, and how good a speed was needed.

    Thanks again!
