    Default questios romsets microsoft framework

    goodmerged site says it is to have microsoft.net framework installed on my PC, I do not have the framework installed, but have not installed it will not be able to unpack all romsets? it is necessary or not? I only have 7-ZIP

    Framework is a good thing to have regardless. If i remember correctly you're on winxp right? In which case get version 3.5

    But really have this framework and necessary to unpack the romsets? you can not I unpack all roms without the framework? I burn DVD with romsets and 7-zip but I forgot to put the framework on the disk so I want to know if it is really necessary the framework to unzip the roms

    If they're any common filetype (.zip, .rar, .7z, etc) then no, using 7-Zip should work fine for extracting them. However if you're talking about using other software (like GoodMerge) that needs to handle archived files you may still need the .NET Framework for that program to work. In this case, GoodMerge has the framework listed as a requirement here; http://goodmerge.sourceforge.net/Requirements.php
