Default PCSX 2 - Low FPS and lagging during gameplay

    Hi guys,

I have a problem running PCSX 2 1.0.0, I tried various plugins but still I got the same problem, does anybody know how I can fix this ?

    My pc specs are:
    Cpu: i7 3770k
    Ram: 16gb
    Gpu: GTX 780

Hardware wise I shouldn't have any problems, I read who ran the emulator with much lower settings than this... Could it be because of the gpu since it's a new series (although same architecture) ?

    Thanks in advance

It could be the game which is what by the way?

can you post what graphics plugin and video setting?

With your hardware you shouldn't really be running into any problems unless it's just a settings tweak or the game itself.

I have tried 3 games: tekken 4, tekken 5, and gran turismo 4.

    The gpu plugin is gdx10:
    renderer: Direct3D11 (hardware)
    interlacing: auto
    Scaling 6x native
    texture filtering
    Allow 8- textures
    msaa 16x
    extra rendering threads: 0
    Edge anti-aliasing(AA1)

    Gs settings are default

    6x time native

You could lower that a bit as it's very high and/or the anti aliasing which is pretty pointless having that high with the resolutions your running anyways. You could also switch the gsdx plugins - try between the sse3 and 4

Keep in mind too that GT4 isn't exactly 100% on pcsx2 for a lot of people.

I lowered those down to 2x native and 4x msaa .... I tried both sse3 and 4... in the menus it's flawless but during gameplay I still get around 50fps but it's laggy. also there are black thin lines on the screen. I tried this one tekken 4 and 5 ...

Ok I'll have to look up the games specifically and see what else we can try but have to take off soon for just a couple of hours - so maybe someone else will drop by with some more ideas

Oh and another thing you can do is go into the audio settings and lower some stuff there if you're not to worried about sound quality since they are just fighting games - and disabling effects processing can help too. Not to mention dropping down to the d3d9 renderer - I probably should have mentioned that first
