    Default Corrupt .ISOs

The .ISOs are MGS2: SOL (US) and FFX International. I'm running my PS2 games off a USB HDD. (I know it's not the best method, but it's my only option right now.) I extract the file using 7-Zip and use USBUtil v2.0 to convert the .ISOs. USBUtil says the game is "incomplete." Shadow of the Colossus and the Indigo Prophecy work fine. What am I doing wrong?

    Anything?

EDIT: having the same problem with DOA2 now.
EDIT: I'm guessing these are just bad uploads.
EDIT: Tried Champions of Norrath. It works fine. So yeah, I guess the games I listed have had shoddy uploads.

Problem solved; USButil is junk, use USB Insane.

The problem could just be with the method used for the games as I do not use that method I can't be 100% sure but you can check the disc images with the info at http://redump.org/discs/system/ps2/ that have *.MD5 & *.SFV files for every game listed, that can be used to verify the iso images or you can just look at the crc value and open the rar or zip or 7z that contains the iso with 7-zip it will show a crc value

a sfv or mds checker would be needed to use the *.MD5 & *.SFV files and the iso would need to share the same name as the md5 or sfv file.

I checked the MGS2: SOL .ISO with that website and everything matched up but the MD5.

if the crc matches then the md5 should do also unless they messed up something

I double checked using a different piece of software, and this time everything matched. USButil 2.0 still says the file is corrupt/fragmented.

It's just a game that USButil can't handle, there is no defect in the disc image though

With OPL 0.9 you can load games directly from an .ISO. Unfortunately with this method, you run into issues with FAT32. As far as I know, that's the only alternative.

What do the files look like after you use USButil 2.0?

Or just try an older version of USButil or another method to get the game onto the USB drive like ISO2USBLd

You were right; the problem is with USButil. I downloaded USB Insane, installed MGS2, and it worked. It must be a problem with every version of USButil as I downloaded an earlier version and the same thing happened.

Thanks again for the help, I appreciate it.
